Eiffel Tower

>Although seen as a bit of an eyesore in the early days of it being built, the Eiffel Tower has come to be viewed as the epitome of romance. This iconic symbol, of both Paris and France, is shown in all its architectural splendour here. With over two and a half million rivets joining structural iron, the intricate open frame construction of the monument was extremely tricky to illustrate and many drafts were produced to get it to this final version!

Concorde was such a huge icon of aviation, and one which regularly used to appear in the Parisian skies, though it had ceased flights several years prior to the design, it was felt that it should have its place in the sky here.
